Live online and in-person options

The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines is also available as a two-evening live course on Zoom (3.5 hours per session), and as an in-person class in Florida, Washington, or Oregon when a group of students comes together. These run by arrangement rather than on a fixed calendar. Describe what you are looking for and Luis will propose dates.

What every course includes

  • Registration in WSET’s Online Classroom for your chosen dates, with a WSET online educator
  • Study materials: included online for Level 1; a printed study pack (or eBook) for Level 2
  • Personal support from Luis Romero by email and Zoom until you are certified
  • A tasting sample shopping list and help sourcing samples where you live
  • One exam attempt by remote invigilation, scheduled after your course ends
  • Your WSET digital certificate and certified logo on passing

Tasting samples are not included or shipped. Courses involve tasting alcoholic beverages; students must be of legal drinking age in their country of residence (21 in the United States). Please read the IBA policies, including cancellation and refund terms, before booking. Questions first? Contact Luis for help choosing.

Not sure which level?

Level 1 is a short, friendly introduction (about 6 hours of study) and a good fit if you are new to the subject or want a quick, recognized credential. Level 2 is the industry standard for people who work with wine or spirits, or who want to go deep; it takes about 6 hours a week for 5 weeks and does not require Level 1 first. The free guide, Which WSET level is right for you?, walks through the decision.
